Security
Beware of phishing scams. If you have any doubts about a correspondence or phone call appearing to be from BeingChronic, please contact us before responding.
• Password — We will never ask you for your password and we strongly discourage you from sharing it with anyone. Please notify us immediately if you become aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account. If you have any doubts about the security of your password, you can always reset it.
• Username — We will never ask you for your username and discourage sharing it if you are trying to maintain privacy or anonymity.
Problems Signing Up
Did not receive confirmation email — Sign up requires a valid email. When you sign up, a confirmation email is sent to you. Your account is not activated until you click on the confirmation link in the email. If you have not received an email, you can request it be sent again.
Confirmation email doesn't work — If you've received many confirmation emails, use the most recent one — older emails are invalidated when a new one is sent. Confirmation emails expire after a few hours; if you didn't confirm your account within this time interval, request a new confirmation email be sent.
Problems Logging In
Forgot password — If you've forgotten your password, you can request to reset it.
Account Confirmation — If you're a new user and haven't confirmed your account, please respond to the confirmation email we sent you. If you didn't receive the email, please request it be sent again.
Locked out — Your account can be locked due to an excessive number of unsuccessful sign in attempts. You should receive an email with instructions on how to unlock your account. If you did not receive this email, you can request it be sent again. If you don't have access to your email when this occurs, your account will be unlocked after a certain amount of time.
Disabled Account
An account is disabled when a user violates our Content Policy or Terms and Conditions of Use. If your account has been disabled, please check your email. You should've received an email from a moderator explaining why. Please correspond with the moderator to discuss what needs to be done to restore your account. If you haven't received an email, please contact us.
Read-Only Account
An account is put in read-only mode when a user violates our Content Policy or Terms and Conditions of Use. Read-only mode is just that — you can log in but you can't add content. If your account has been put in read-only mode, please check your email. You should've received an email from a moderator explaining why. Please correspond with the moderator to discuss what needs to be done to restore your account. If you haven't received an email, please contact us.
Change Email, Username or Password
You can change your email, username or password when you are logged in. Go to your Profile page and click on the Account link.
